Bawley Point
Bawley Point is an easily accessed site, just a short rough dirt road to the carpark near the old gantry. We get in either just under the gantry or more recently discovered, and great when you have video equipment to carry, just a walk in off the rock platform. Over the years we have seen so many species in this nursery environment and it always upsets me when I see people fishing off the rocks. The fish are are so tiny around the gantry and a much better catch is to offer around the point where the larger pelagic species can often be seen.
Bawley vs Geurilla 2014
Getting friends interested in diving is one of our things. After our friend Joe learned to dive we spent a weekend of diving with him at a couple of local sites, one day at Bawley Point and one day at Guerilla Bay. We had so much fun and saw lots of fish and I made this short film to commemorate the occassion.

10 Years of Diving 2012
After I'd been enjoying SCUBA for 10 years I entered a little competition and won accommodation in the Cocos Islands. We never made it to the resort but this was the short film that I put together for the competition.
Bawley Point
As one of my local sites, Bawley Point offers a good variety of species to be seen. From rays to whales and eels to seahorses you will always get a surprise on a good day at Bawley Point.
SCUBA Diving with Stingrays at Bawley Point, NSW
After the incident with Steve Irwin I wanted to share the beauty of these creatures. I also want people to know that these fish are safe to dive and swim with and you are only in danger of injury from a ray if you immobilize the fish. Most injuries are caused from people accidentally stepping on them in the surf zone, but you should never try to hold one as Steve did when he was killed.
Tollgate Islands
The Tollgate Islands Used to be part of the old coastline before erosion made the mouth of the Clyde River as we know it today. Now the Tollgate Islands are a Bird Sanctuary and the surrounding waters a Marine Reserve. Protected from all fishing the area thrives with fish life. I always manage to see something interesting on most of our visits to the area.
Tollgate Diving
Another awesome easy dive site in the Batemans Bay area. The Tollgates offer a nursery environment where fish can thrive in a protected area. With no fishing of any type in the area fishlife has been allowed to flourish which can make for a great dive.
Tollgate Island Downunder
We love the Tollgates and we love having the ability to visit the site with our own boat.
Easter Weekend
in the Water
A great weekend of diving at Bawley Point and Barlings Beach. Armed with a GoPro Hero 6, shot in 4K - this is the short video that came out 2 great dives with some great 'dive buddies'.
Pre Christmas dive 2021
There has been too much COVID in the air so it's time for a dive. At one of favourite dive sites, the Tollgate Islands hold a special spot in my heart. When the swell and wind are right, this spot is always great - you just need a boat to get there and our new Trailcraft does the job well..
